Pride Matters, why companies should be sharing the message all year round

Pride is just as important today as it was at the first march in 1972, 50 years ago.

Pride month runs every year globally in June, ending with London Pride on the closest Saturday to the anniversary of the Stonewall riots in 1969.

It originally started as a reaction to discrimination and hate against LGBTQ+ people and has, over the years, slowly become more of a celebration.

However, there is still a serious side and a serious message to pride.

People from the LGBTQ+ community still face discrimination every day, in their working and personal lives

Even now in 2018, three quarters of the LGBT community feel that they cannot show affection to their partner in public.
